Why AAME?

The American Association of Municipal Executives (AAME) is the only professional organization that exists to serve the personal and professional needs of city managers and other public sector executives.

One of the biggest challenges public sector executives face is the pervasive sense of isolation and loneliness that comes with the job. This is compounded by the increasingly volatile and toxic working environments these talented leaders face as a result of political division and lack of civility in the public discourse.
